Most of my 3D art images were done for Random Runtime Roulette contests. A random number generator selects four items from one's runtime which must be used; other items can be used as well.
Because I have difficulties in making decisions, it is helpful to me to have my subject matter selected arbitrarily and randomly. Often it feels magical like selecting cards from a Tarot deck. Happily I am able to stay focused on using what was selected. It usually results in pretty weird combinations and I end up doing things I never would ordinarily "dream up." It helps me to do what I like the most - oddball stuff which feels dream-like, absurd and the mysterious. There is a lot of silliness in them also, which is good for me as I tend to be overly serious and need to "lighten up."
The RRRR (I don't know what the fourth "R" is for) contests take place on the DAZ Commons Forum and are sponsored by the Bald Wizard's Club, with contributions from enthusiastic participants providing prizes of DAZ gift certificates.
